Cemeteries are open for Visiting Hours only. Cemetery offices are closed, and no burials are conducted.

Saturday Memorial Mass is held the first Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m.

HISTORY & FACILITIES

For decades, the Diocese of Oakland has provided its parish families with Catholic Cemeteries. The facility has ample parking and is especially convenient for the lot owners at the Cemetery.

Saint Joseph Cemetery, under the patronage of the carpenter/foster father of Jesus Christ, is located just nine miles from Oakland and seventeen miles from San Francisco. West of Interstate 80, the cemetery is reached by taking the El Portal exit from the Interstate.
